Dear Lily,

It's okay--I could never hate you! And, well, I would come if I actually SPOKE to anyone going! Well, besides you of course. No, you go and have fun! I think Mum is having family over and you know that I went out with you instead last year and left her all alone with my father's bloody realitives. She will enjoy my company.

Again, I could never hate you--just remember to send me an owl when it hits the New Year! And don't forget to tell me all about it! You know I love the embarassing things that the other Gryffindors do!

My Dearest Lily,

My New Year's was alright. Nothing really special--Mum let me have some Fire Whiskey and some wine and Dad was out. We set off some sparks in the air at midnight and it was really fun. We had a great time--my Mum said to tell you Happy New Year as well!

And I'm a little confused as to what your letter said. I think you wrote something about Regulus Black being at Jeanette Trotter's party?? You must be mistaken. It might have been the other Black. It must have been.
